Sándor Lezsák

Sándor Lezsák is a József Attila Prize-winning Hungarian poet and teacher, currently serving as the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. He is also the President of the National Forum Association and a Member of Parliament representing the 4th constituency of Bács-Kiskun County. Since 1991, he has been the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Lakitelek Foundation and Folk High School. In March 2004, he took on the role of Executive Chairman of the Mindszenty Society.

He has received numerous accolades throughout his career, most recently in 2019, when he was honored with both the Grand Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (Civil Division) and the Petőfi Award. He describes his deep connection to his roots, stating, "My spiritual homeland is the region along the Tisza River, between the Danube and the Tisza, and within it, Lakitelek."
