József Gaál is a prominent figure in Kecskemét's public and economic life. He serves as our city's Deputy Mayor, overseeing economic development, higher education, vocational training, and international relations. His significant roles also include Vice President for industrial development and innovation at the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the Bács-Kiskun County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and owner of Kecskemét-based Szimikron Kft.

He maintains a strong connection to our institution. Not only is he a mechanical engineer graduate of the GAMF Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, but he's also an honorary associate professor at John von Neumann University and a regular part-time lecturer in management subjects. His expertise extends to Production Management, a field in which he received specialized training in Japan. Mr. Gaál is a co-owner of several international patents, and his contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, including the prestigious Eötvös Lóránd Award for technical development and innovation. Notably, he played a significant role in establishing and implementing the dual education system.
