Our goal is to train vehicle engineers who will be able to solve basic engineering tasks related to the design, manufacturing, systemic operation and repair of road-vehicle systems and mobile machines, taking into consideration aspects of safety, environmental protection, and energy management. It is important for our students to possess an interest in natural sciences, to be diligent, and to have a “team player” attitude, as well as a positive approach to acquiring new knowledge.

Career opportunities: Using computer-aided design technologies, automotive engineers create new or improved designs for car structural members, engines, transmissions, or other vehicle systems. Directly constructing, modifying, or testing a vehicle or its parts. Additionally, to oversee or carry out system-level vehicle testing.

Other tasks consist of:
•Reviewing the designs of vehicles.
•Creating engineering guidelines or budget projections for vehicle design ideas.
•Giving other engineers or engineering support staff technical direction.
•Performing root-cause, failure, or variation analysis.
•Specifying parameters for manufacturing or quality control.
•Creating, reviewing or maintaining engineering documentation.
