The John von Neumann Universiyt was pleased to welcome Prof. Krassimira Staneva, MSc, MPH, PhD, Rector of Varna University of Management.
With more than 30 years of academic, research, and leadership experience, she is an internationally recognized expert in tourism, sustainable development, natural resource management, and public health. Her work also focuses on health, SPA and wellness tourism, digitalization, and cybersecurity in tourism.
During her visit, Prof. Staneva taught two tourism-related courses.
Management and Marketing of Touristic Enterprises focused on the operation of tourism businesses, market trends, tourist behaviour, marketing strategies, branding, sustainable tourism marketing, digital marketing, and the use of innovative technologies.
Touristic Destination Management introduced students to the structure and management of tourist destinations, with special emphasis on crisis and risk management, digital platforms, big data analytics, cyberculture, cyber hygiene, and post-crisis destination management.
We welcomed Prof. Krassimira Staneva with great pleasure. Her visit brought valuable international insight to our academic community, and we look forward to welcoming her back in the future.
