Two of our colleagues represented Neumann János University at the VETXchange project's professional program in the Philippines.
During the visit, our colleagues held discussions with representatives of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) under the Department of Trade and Industry, and also visited the Benilde Startup Innovation Center at De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde.
The meetings provided practical insight into how business development, innovation, and skills development are linked in the local ecosystem. Our colleagues paid particular attention to the role of emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence, and the realistic opportunities and challenges they present for vocational education and training (VET) and higher education institutions and teachers.
The program reflects long-term goals, the professional connection between Europe and Southeast Asia, and the strengthening of cross-continental cooperation between education, industry, and innovation.
