At the beginning of the year, with the support of the Pannonia Scholarship Program, more than ten students from John von Neumann University had the opportunity to participate in a Winter Camp held in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou, organized by SIAS University.
Based on the feedback from the participating students, the event was an unforgettable experience. As they said, it had a truly international vibe.
The students were able not only to gain first-hand insight into Chinese culture, university life, and everyday routines, but also to experience all of this together with local young people of the same age. It was not something learned from textbooks, but lived in real life.
The program took place in a genuinely international environment, with students from Canada, Austria, Kenya, Hungary, China, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Russia participating. Cultural diversity and the opportunity to form new friendships were therefore an integral part of the experience.
Our students agreed that the most valuable things in life are not material possessions, but the experiences and memories we collect. No matter where life may take them in the future, this one week in China will certainly remain one of their most cherished memories.
