Groundbreaking transport research

Dr. Adrienn Boldizsár, a researcher at the Institute of Informatics within the GAMF Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at John von Neumann University, has received a significant international award. She completed her PhD at the Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. This accomplished young researcher is the winner of the 2025 European Friedrich List Award in the doctoral category.

Her award-winning dissertation, titled "Modeling and Economic Analysis of Freight Transport Flows in Europe," delves into Europe's freight transport processes, with a particular focus on sustainability and the economic effects of cross-border logistical systems. Her work is a vital contribution to the scientific underpinnings of European transport policy and economic planning.

The European Platform of Transport Sciences (EPTS) Foundation annually presents this award to young researchers who demonstrate outstanding scientific achievement in the field of transport science. The 2025 award ceremony took place on June 26, 2025, in Paris, during the 23rd European Transport Congress. This success is not only a major milestone in her own scientific career but also further boosts the international recognition of Hungarian transport science.
