The Office for Quality Development and Methodology (MMI) plays a crucial role at John von Neumann University. Its primary goal is to ensure the institution is continuously improving, meeting quality standards, and achieving its strategic objectives.

The office's key responsibilities are divided into the following areas:

Quality Management System

The MMI is responsible for the overall design, maintenance, and development of the university's quality management system, which may include standards like ISO or the EFQM Excellence Model. This involves creating and updating all quality assurance documents, such as handbooks and internal regulations. The office also serves as the main point of contact for external accreditation and auditing bodies, like the Hungarian Accreditation Committee for Higher Education (MAB).

Internal Evaluations

The MMI coordinates all internal evaluation processes, including self-assessments at the faculty, department, or program level. A major part of this work involves conducting and analyzing satisfaction surveys for students, faculty, and administrative staff, as well as collecting and analyzing data on key performance indicators like student retention and international mobility.

Process Improvement

The office analyzes and refines organizational processes to make them more efficient. It provides methodological support for faculty and departmental development initiatives and is responsible for collecting and sharing best practices across the university.

Strategic Planning and Monitoring

The MMI helps formulate the university's quality objectives and establish the metrics used to measure them. The office then tracks progress toward these goals and prepares regular monitoring reports for leadership.

Support for Accreditations and Rankings

The MMI assists with the domestic and international accreditation processes for various academic programs and institutions. This includes providing data and engaging in benchmarking to help the university improve its standing in international rankings.

Training and Workshops

To foster a culture of continuous improvement, the office organizes a variety of training sessions and workshops on quality development and methodology. It also hosts forums for students and employees to gather feedback and encourage their ongoing engagement.
