Dr Norbert Csizmadia, President of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for John von Neumann University, representing Europe and Hungary as the only higher education exhibitor at the COP28 climate summit, presented his double-volume book Geovision: Sustainability and Eurasia, published in English, to great international interest. The publication provides a geographer's perspective on the geopolitical, economic and sustainability challenges of our time. In the two-volume book, the author uses geography to explore how we understand the interconnections and how we can link existing research findings.
The geographer and academic leader draws attention to the importance of geography as connectivity and complexity, and how maps and an exciting and versatile visual language can help us understand our world.
John von Neumann University, a participant in the COP 28 climate summit, was the first to showcase its hydrogen and solar-powered, artificial intelligence-driven, multifunctional vehicle, the Neumann H2, at the stand of the model-changing university in Dubai. JvNU's presence at the UN climate summit, and the sustainable mobility innovation on display were intended to raise awareness of JvNU's ability to generate the knowledge that will be essential for future economic growth.
'Geovision' was published by Pabooks Publishing in December 2023, and was launched internationally at the COP 28 global climate summit in Dubai.
