Hello Qatar, it's Neumann!
A delegation from John von Neumann University visited Qatar for the first time, where they met several local and international universities and participated in Qatar's largest education exhibition.
The delegation of the University consisted of Dr. Zoltán Nagy, president and CEO, Dr. József Kárpáti, dean, Lóránt Szabó, head of the AI Knowledge Centre, Anita Rodenbücher, partnerships coordinator, and Kohi Habib, head of the international office.
During the university meetings, there was the opportunity to meet international universities with campuses in Qatar, such as Texas A&M University, and Carnegie Mellin University, where Dr. Patrik Linke, Dr. Hassan Bazzi and Dr. Hazem Nounou and Mr. Michael Trick, Dean of the University of Qatar welcomed the representatives of our university.
Among the local universities, the first round of meetings took place with Prof. Ibrahim AlKaabi, Vice President for Academic Relations at Qatar University, and with the Doha University of Science and Technology, where our institution was hosted by Dr. Salem Al-Naemi, president and his team.
During the university talks, mutual interest and openness were expressed for future cooperation, both in the field of student/faculty exchanges and research development, the details of which are still under discussion between the two institutions.
In addition to the university talks, John von Neumann University participated in Qatar's largest and most visited education exhibition, which attracted 12,000 visitors in just 2 days. Hundreds of people expressed interest in Hungary and the JvNU's courses among them with students, their relatives and teachers saying they were looking for quality and practice-oriented courses.
