2nd Hydrogen workshop
The Hydrogen workshop on the 13th of March 2023, which was organized within the framework of the RRF-2.3.1-21-2022-00009 National Laboratory of Renewable Energies tender, was now the second information dissemination event organized by the Hydrogen Technology Knowledge Center founded in September 2022. In addition to its academic activities, the Knowledge Center considers participation in various professional events and their organization to be a priority, thereby providing a space for building relationships, inspiration, and spreading novelties.
Norbert Csizmadia, the chairman of the board of trustees of the János Neumann University Foundation, emphasized in his opening speech that the denominator of our university had always been looking for new opportunities, the technology of the future, therefore it is particularly important for the John von Neumann University to participate in challenges that improve sustainability such as hydrogen technology.
The aim of the workshop series is to bring the citizens of our university closer to hydrogen technology in accordance with the international strategic goals, to present them the latest technological developments, thus increasing social acceptance and willingness to participate in the research conducted in the Knowledge Center. With the help of the presentations, they try to draw attention to the excitements in hydrogen technology, to the opportunities for development, and they provide possibility for anyone to ask questions that are interesting to them on the subject.
At the event on Monday, we welcomed the colleagues of the Kontakt-Elektro Ltd. as one of the speakers, who demonstrated their fuel cell-based transport solutions - from ships to garbage cars-through the presentation of development engineer Antal Csordás, and Lóránt Szabó, director of the NJE Artificial Intelligence Knowledge Center, who presented the basics and various application possibilities of autonomous systems in his spectacular presentation. Dr. Erika Varga, the scientific project manager of the Hydrogen Technology Knowledge Center, gave an insight into the operating principles of fuel cells.
The audience could ask their questions between the presentations in a friendly atmosphere, having scones and coffee. Including online registrants, the event had 120 participants. The organizers say thank you for the active participation and hope that they will be able to welcome many of those present as team members.
